While we are today publicly announcing the launch of Wize Commerce, we have actually spent the past several months conferring with select merchants about our monetization and campaign management capabilities, listening carefully to their input and even initiating growth projects. Without question, sharing our technology and processes with clients to help them grow their business is fun and fulfilling work!

What business wouldn’t jump at the opportunity to launch a new channel, improve a current channel, expand internationally, or test emerging channels such as social or mobile? Why wouldn’t a business focus immediately on the chance to upgrade their e-commerce site for better customer experience and monetization, or a retailer explore ways to keep customers from “showrooming” in their physical store?

If only it were easy.

Well, it turns out there are lots of legitimate reasons why moving ahead is sometimes a challenge. Here’s ten we’ve recently heard, and even know of personally from our time running some of the most successful e-commerce companies of the past 17 years:

Well, we heard you and we’ve created the solution:

Silhouette.

Simply put, Silhouette is Wize Commerce’s “quick start” implementation technology that allows merchants to test some or all of the services in our Monetization  and Campaign Management Suites without disruption of their ecommerce marketing and operations.

A Silhouette implementation can be partial, located on a subdomain of your site.  Clients can also opt for a complete silhouette implementation on new “parallel” web site. Clients can select one or more services for a revenue optimization test – that’s right, a real world test that generates revenue!  Based on positive results and learning, clients can then select which services to integrate with their ecommerce site at the appropriate time, or even decide to test additional services.

Silhouette allows clients to test new channels such as social or retargeting, or run a “bake-off” vs. existing channels. Components of their e-commerce site can even be tested, such as product search results, or personalization. Part or all of a merchants’ product catalog can be presented on a separate web site, perhaps looking quite different from the original, to test different user experience and features while in some cases generating material new revenue. That’s exactly how we launched Calibex!

We believe Wize Commerce, and specifically our Silhouette service, is the best choice for ecommerce retailers looking to drive growth quickly, effectively, and while sidestepping the technical, organizational, and resource issues that typically make innovation a challenge.
